Faith Has A Voice

I would like to introduce you to Rob Hammes, Songwriter.

ARTIST SUMMARY

Genres: Christian/Gospel / Praise and Worship / Christian Contemporary

                                                   Rob Hammes Songwriter

ARTIST BIO

After a mis-spent youth playing in New Jersey and Indiana bar bands, Rob gave his life to Jesus in 1985, coinciding with the birth of his first daughter. He put down his guitar for a while and pursued the more family friendly route of employment in mechanical fields. But God speaks clearly to Rob that what is in the past has nothing to do with what God’s plans are for His people.

Composition is Rob’s lifelong companion, and writing for Our Savior has become a passion. Whether writing his own material or collaborating with others, primarily with good friend Pastor Benjamin Mosier, Rob’s strongest inspiration is the Anointed Word revealed in the Bible. Having miracles in the testimony of their marriage, wife Christena has opened her music publishing house, Has Breath Publishing LLC, at the prompting of the Holy Spirit, declaring her God given victory over fears and doubts of the past. The vision and journey is truly about bringing “All Glory Honor and Praise” to the God of enduring mercy and abundant love.

Rob Hammes and Benjamin will have a CD out soon. For now you can visit Rob's page to listen to and purchase singles songs. Ring tones are also available for purchase.

Thank you!

Exercising and Eating - Is That All I Need to Do?

It's a new year and lot's of people are deciding this is the year to get in shape, to drop some weight.

But I believe there's more to getting fit than exercising and watching how much you eat.

"Dear friend I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even
as your soul is getting along well."  3 John 1:2

"Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."  Proverbs 3:7-8

'health' here in the Strong's Concordance means - cure.

As I study the Bible I begin to see that God's warnings are not to keep us from having fun but to protect us. We lose our mental, physical and spiritual health when we don't shun evil; when we think we know better than God.

There are more Scrptures that talk about health but I just wanted to put a few out for now.

I personally believe I should be in God's Word daily, talking/praying and listening to Him; making sure I obey what His word says.

I can tell you after the initial ouch or hesitation, there is such a joy, a strength, and energy that comes in and this helps me exercise and helps me to say no thank you to those tempting foods.

Sit before the Lord and ask Him for guidance on getting healthy and make sure it's in all areas of your life - not just food and exercise of the body.

Workout Plan for Turbo Jam Beginners

I started getting off my butt when I found Turbo Jam and it has made an amazing difference. I now have  Body Gospel and for Christmas my husband bought me Rockin Body (which I started the New Year with) I love it!!

Anyway I have had several requests for the workout schedule for Turbo Jam. So I'm putting it on my blog so people can use the link and share when others ask them where to find it.

I have some suggestions at the end that did not come with their plan. I'm 57 years young and it worked for me!! Still working on limbering up but the cardio dancing - woo hoo - love it.

Turbo Jam Schedule

Week 1

Monday - Learn & Burn
Tuesday - Learn & Burn
Wednesday - 20 Minute
Thursday - 20 Minute
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest

Week 2

Monday - 20 Minute
Tuesday - 20 Minute & Ab Jam
Wednesday - Cardio Party
Thursday - 20 Minute & Ab Jam
Friday - 20 Minute
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest

Week 3

Monday - 20 Minute & Ab Jam
Tuesday - Cardio Party
Wednesday - Turbo Sculpt & Ab Jam
Thursday - Cardio Party
Friday - 20 Minute & Ab Jam
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest

Week 4

Monday - Cardio Party
Tuesday - Turbo Sculpt & Ab Jam
Wednesday - 20 Minute
Thursday - Cardio Party
Friday - Turbo Sculpt & Ab Jam
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest

I recommend walking on the days they call for rest, even if it's only for 5 minutes to start (depends on where you are at in conditioning) work up to 30 minutes or more by week 4.
I found it kept my body from getting stiff and my knees did not hurt.

I also recommend doing weights and/or the Turbo Sculpt three times a week - when you are ready. I like to do Turbo Sculpt and take a walk later in the evening.

Make sure you have water available and don't hesitate to stop and rest when you need to, it's okay! You will do more and more with each passing day.

Hope this helps!!

Blessings on your journey to a healthier you!!

Called To Be A Blessing

God has called us to be a blessing.

2 Corinthians 9:10 AMP says: And (God) Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your (resources for) sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness (which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness and charity).

How Cool is that?!! Not only does God provide for your needs, but makes provision for you to go out and be a blessing!!

In the King James it says: He that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food and multiply your seed sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

The word "minister" refers to "someone who is appointed to administer or manage something for the good of someone else." A minister uses what's entrusted to him to improve the life and situation of another.

God has given you SOMETHING to use to be a blessing to someone else.

It may be money, it may be something in your closet or your attic or basement. It could be a piece of furniture, or it could be a cup of coffee & a listening ear, a smile, etc.

You have SOMETHING TO GIVE - use it and have fun doing it. It doesn't have to be just at this time of year either. Be a continual blessing and watch and see what God does both in your life and in the lives of others.
